McNairy County couple charged with aggravated burglary

McNAIRY COUNTY, Tenn. — A home outside of Adamsville was housing stolen items belonging to area residents, deputies say. Officers first stepped inside Wednesday night after a call about a domestic dispute. Charges have now been filed against Oliver Lawrence and Jessica Bailey. “It was property we felt like came from some type of criminal activity, but we didn’t know where,” Lt. Brad Johnson with the McNairy County Sheriff’s Office said. Johnson said deputies were called out a second time to the same address Thursday night on a similar call. “Deputies went out there, found her hiding under a bedroom. Both were arrested on warrants and as a result, the sheriff’s office executed a search warrant,” Johnson said. According to investigators, both residents in the home were brought to the McNairy County Jail and many in Adamsville will have their stolen property returned. Guns, jewelry and other items all were found inside as well as drugs and drug paraphernalia, for which the two will also face charges. Adamsville police also have charges against the two for aggravated burglary.
