Man accused of patronizing prostitution in social media sting

JACKSON, Tenn. — An operation by Jackson police monitoring social media sites for subjects patronizing prostitution landed a man in city court Wednesday. Joe Morton Jr. was arrested during a July 10 investigation, according to court papers. Police say they intercepted communications sent by Morton in which he solicited a woman for sex in exchange for money, the document states. Morton arranged to meet the woman at a Jackson hotel where investigators observed him give her money for sex, according to an affidavit.
