EAST JACKSON — A Jackson house is damaged in a fire that apparently was started by a child. Firefighters were called to Berry Street just after 8 p.m. Tuesday and found a small fire in a closet. Investigators determined a child playing with matches started the blaze. There was only a small amount of damage. The Red Cross is offering assistance to the family.
