TBI: Woman stole $340K from ailing friend; spent some on plastic surgery

NASHVILLE — A Lebanon woman has been indicted on charges of stealing more than $340,000 from an ailing friend’s savings while acting as her power of attorney, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. Debra Lamberson, 52, is accused of spending the friend’s money on plastic surgery, vacations and clothing, as well as to support her home-based business. Lamberson was indicted Monday on one count of theft over $60,000, according to a TBI release. The alleged theft took place over a five-year period, the release states. A TBI agent arrested her Wednesday and booked her into the Wilson County Jail, according to the release. She is free on a $5,000 bond.
