Madison County commissioner retains seat

JACKSON, Tenn.,– Madison County Commissioner and budget committee chair Ann Harrell will be retaining her seat, according to county officials.
Harrell had resigned her position July 20 and announced she was moving out of her district. She has represented District 10 in northeast Madison County for three years. Harrell told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News she originally planned to stay through February and move out of the district. Her daughter began showing interest in fulfilling her position and that is when Harrell decided to put in her resignation. “That allowed me to do more thinking. Since I don’t have plans to move out of my district until the spring and my daughter could not take over my position, I decided to stay until the end of the year,” Harrell said.
