Man charged with sexual assault

HUMBOLDT, Tenn.-A 67-year old is charged with sexual battery, adult abuse and or neglect. According to Humboldt police, a nurse said she witnessed William Pledge sexually assault a 93 year old woman. Officers said the victim was transported to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital for the investigation and was released without injuries. Pledge is being held in lieu of a $40,000 bond in Gibson County.
