Southern Fried Food and Sweet Tea Festival has it all
MCKENZIE, Tenn.-If you are a true Southerner, then you know there is nothing like Southern fried food..and to top it all off, a big glass of sweet tea. This weekend, McKenzie’s downtown square is the place to be for the Southern Fried Food & Sweet Tea Festival, a fundraiser for the restoration of the Park Theatre. In addition to paying homage to both southern delicacies, there will be food, music, games and a Renaissance program. City leaders said it is a Southern fried food and music lover’s paradise. “Fried food is Southern, this is the Southern fried and it’s everything Southern, Southern fried music, Southern fried food, Southern hospitality,” said McKenzie Mayor Jill Holland.
