2 victims of recent Brownsville fire have died

HAYWOOD COUNTY, Tenn. — Two people injured in a Brownsville house fire earlier this month have died, according to police. Police have identified the victims as Annie Shaw and George Mitchell. The fire took place around 3:30 a.m. Aug. 2 at a home on East Cherry Street, according to fire officials. The victims suffered burns to large portions of their bodies, according to police. Officials said the two victims were critically injured and airlifted to Regional One Medical Center in Memphis.
