2 men face drug charges after searches in Dresden

WEAKLEY COUNTY, Tenn. — Officers make two arrests in Dresden after executing two separate search warrants. Investigators with the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department and officers from the Dresden Police Department performed the searches Aug. 18. The search of a home in the 400 block of West Park Street resulted in the arrest of Kyle Wayne Riley, 26, on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and introduction of drugs into the county jail, according to a release from the sheriff’s office. The introduction charge came after deputies found hydrocodone pills on Riley inside the jail, the release states. An unrelated search of a home also in the 400 block of West Park Street led to the arrest of James Michael Cherry, 22, on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to resale and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the sheriff’s office.
