JACKSON, Tenn. — A man was in city court Friday on charges of evading arrest and resisting arrest. Police say they saw Michael Robinson Thursday afternoon sitting in front of a Middle Avenue residence. Officers knew Robinson had an outstanding arrest warrant, and they say he ran when he saw them, according to an affidavit. Police say they chased Robinson on foot as he refused to stop. When they tried to take him into custody, police say Robinson resisted by refusing to put his hands behind his back and by pulling away from officers. Police eventually took him into custody on a failure to appear arrest warrant. Robinson’s bond is set at $10,000.
