THDA awards grants to two West Tennessee non-profits
JACKSON, Tenn.-Two Jackson non-profits are awarded federal grants to assist the homeless in West Tennessee. The Tennessee Housing Development Agency awarded $50,000 to the Women’s Resource and Rape Assistance Program and $40,000 to Area Relief Ministries of Jackson. “They have a history of doing what they say they’re going to do. They really help the people that they’re here to help and there’s a need here,” said Aubrie Kobernus, the West Tennessee liaison for THDA. The THDA said WRAP and ARM are among 21 recipients to receive a combined $1.6 million plus.
