Woman reports $1,400 in property stolen from Union City home

UNION CITY, Tenn. — Police are investigating a burglary that resulted in more than $1,400 worth of property taken from a home. A woman called police Sept. 8 to report the burglary at her home in the 700 block of Pierce Street. She told officers someone had broken into her house between 9:15 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. and had taken several items including three TVs, three iPads, a mobile phone and several pairs of shoes, according to a report from the Union City Police Department. The total value of the missing items, including a 52-inch LG smart TV and a 42-inch Element TV, are valued at more than $1,460, according to the report.
