HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — An apparent murder-suicide that left two injured has now claimed the life of one of the gunshot victims. “I don’t know what’s going to come out of this investigation, but the autopsy will definitely find out the truth,” Kent Beaver said. Kent is the brother of Brent Beaver who was injured Friday night, along with Brent’s wife, Rebecca Beaver. Investigators said the two were shot inside their home in Henderson County along Mount Moriah Road. Deputies said their records show a history of domestic violence calls to the Beavers’ address. “Rebecca had told her brother-in-law that when she went to his residence that she had been shot,” Sheriff Brian Duke said, recalling the Friday gun violence. Investigators say they are still piecing together what happened between Brent and Rebecca. The husband and wife each suffered gunshots to the head from a .25 caliber handgun. Brent died from his injuries Monday night. Rebecca remains hospitalized. Officers said she was shot in the corner of the eye. “He’s always been an all around good guy,” Kent Beaver said. “Never heard anything bad about my brother or have anyone say anything bad or derogative about him.” Sheriff Duke said he’s confident evidence and an autopsy will tell them who pulled the trigger. However, those results are still several weeks away. “Those things will fill in any questions or holes we have,” Duke said. “And they will either confirm what we’ve been told or not.”
