Madison County man dies after being struck by tree

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — The Madison County Sheriff’s Office said a man died after being struck by a tree Saturday afternoon. Authorities said Ira Nicholas Walker was working with friends in the yard in the 2200 block of Ashport Road. Walker and some others were cutting down a tree and misguided where it would fall. Walker was struck and died from his injuries. He was 34 years old.
