JACKSON, Tenn. — VA officials were in town Thursday to meet with veterans from all across West Tennessee. Leaders of the Memphis Veterans Affairs Medical Center and the Nashville VA office met with veterans and their families on the campus of Jackson State Community College. The gathering provided information on benefits, claims assistance and answered questions from veterans. “We get a lot of good interaction with our veterans, both good and bad. And that’s what we appreciate is their honesty,” said Dr. Diane Knight, medical director with the Memphis VA. A representative from the National Cemetery Administration also answered questions and offered assistance.
