Police investigate after body found at west Jackson apartment
WEST JACKSON — Police confirm they are conducting a death investigation after finding a body Wednesday night in an apartment in the 900 block of Old Hickory Boulevard. Officers are investigating whether the death is related to a Wednesday afternoon search for a possible suicide victim in Muse Park in east Jackson, according to Sgt. Derick Tisdale, public information officer for the Jackson Police Department. Investigators were on scene at the duplex apartment for several hours Wednesday night, drawing a large crowd of onlookers. Several police cars and two ambulances were on the scene as investigators dressed in hazmat suits were observed taking evidence from the apartment. Police say they did not find a body at Muse Park.
