GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Who says pink doesn’t look good on everyone? The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office is wearing the color all month long in honor of breast cancer awareness. After Thursday, each shift will rotate wearing the bright shirts once a week. Sheriff Paul Thomas says more than half of his deputies have dealt with breast cancer within their own families. Thomas says each staffer paid for the shirts out of their annual clothing allowance.
