The Double D’s Ranch closed its doors after only seven months in business. “I thought they were doing great,” said Madison Morris, a patron of the bar and grill. Morris showed up a the restaurant Wednesday hoping to land a job and realized it had closed. “The girls there, they really like working there and they would come home talking about how much fun they had,” said Morris. Management said they closed the restaurant due to financial reasons. Alan Bruce owns a tattoo parlor near Double D’s Ranch. “Me and my industry, we’re frowned upon in some ways and that restaurant was too. Kind of hate to see Jackson push that kind of environment out when the town could actually thrive off that environment,” said Bruce. Bruce said he enjoyed the food and thought the restaurant offered good service. “The people going there were going in for the environment, get you a drink, watch a game, get some hot wings, good hamburger,” said Bruce. The manager of Double D’s Ranch said the company planned to relocated him to Texas where they are opening another Double D’s Ranch. He said the company offered to relocate some of the employees, but so far none have taken them up on the offer.
