The search for a new school superintendent for the Jackson-Madison School System has been narrowed down to just two candidates. The first is Beth Wright, superintendent of the Florence County School District Three in South Carolina. This is her second time to interview for the position, She was a finalist five years ago when Doctor Nancy Zambito was hired. Also named as a finalist was Terrence Martin, the current associate superintendent of the Des Moines, Iowa Public School System. He told the board he believed, if chosen he will be able to make a difference in children’s lives and help them on a large scale. Both Wright and Martin will now be interviewed during town hall meetings at city hall, next week at 4 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday. The meetings are open to the public, who will be able to ask questions of the two finalists.
