West Tennesseans Hit the Road
The 4th of July holiday is officially here and thousands of Tennesseans are hitting the road. Triple-A of the South estimates more than 619,000 Tennesseans will travel over the long holiday weekend. That figure is actually down from last year. Triple-A estimates about 6 percent fewer Tennesseans will spend the 4th away from home and they say it has a lot to do with higher gas prices. But one group that is no lessening its presence on the roadway is the Tennessee Highway Patrol. They have increased patrols scheduled through Monday night.
