Second Superintendent Finalist Answers Questions
The second and final candidate for the position of Jackson-Madison County School superintendent fielded questions from the community, Thursday afternoon. Doctor Beth Wright, current superintendent of the Florence County School District Three in South Carolina, answered questions during the two-hour town hall meeting. Wright answered questions on a number of issues including how she would lead the system, discipline and how she plans to interact with the community. “We’re for the children, so I want to make sure that those things are brought to fruition and that they have a successful opening of schools,” said Doctor Beth Wright, a Jackson-Madison County Schools superintendent finalist. ” And so that is kind of a major priority is let’s get schools started. Let’s get schools started successfully with teachers in the classroom and buildings ready.” Wednesday, fellow finalist Terrence Martin answered similar questions in another town hall meeting. The school board could vote as soon as Monday on who they want as superintendent.
