Dyersburg Man Charged in Low Speed Chase

A low-speed chase in Dyer County has landed a Dyersburg man behind bars on a laundry list of charges. Chadwick Edwards, 28, was booked into the Dyer County Jail early Thursday morning, after deputies say he refused to pull over for deputies and even drove south in the northbound lanes of Highway 51. Edwards was eventually stopped and arrested on 11 counts. The include driving under the influence, driving on a revoked/suspended license, evading arrest, aggravated assault, vandalism, felony vandalism, reckless endangerment, reckless driving, resisting arrest, resist stop/frisk/halt/search and obstruction of service of process. As of Friday afternoon, Edwards is currently jailed in lieu of $20,000 bond and will make his next court appearance on Monday.
