Man Accused of Stealing Boat

An investigation spanning two counties has landed a Carroll County man behind bars on charges that he stole a boat from former State Representative Butch Borchert. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Department says Mickey Holladay, 33, faces theft charges after deputies say they found Borchert’s boat sitting in his driveway and several things taken from a Carroll County home break-in inside Holladay’s house. Officers say Borchert’s duck boat disappeared on Monday from his Henry County hunting property. Holladay is currently jailed in Carroll County in lieu of $2,500.
