Texas Man Accused of Trying to Run Woman Over

A Texas man is free on $5,000 bond after Jackson police say he tried to run a woman over with his truck, around 12:20 a.m., Wednesday. Scott Keith Thornburg, 54, of Marble Falls, Texas, faced a judge in Jackson City Court on one count of aggravated assault, Wednesday. According to police, Thornburg pulled up to the woman who was standing at Chester and Cartmell Streets and asked her where he could buy drugs. Court papers show she told officers when she tried to run away, he chased after he and tried to run over her several times. Thornburg was arrested a short time later.
