RIFA Uniform Exchange Begins
In just more than two weeks, summer vacation will end for students in Jackson-Madison County. That means parents are already buying school supplies and uniforms. Friday, RIFA or Regional Interfaith Association, kicked off its second annual “Back to School Uniform Exchange.” The program allows parents to exchange or buy gently used school uniforms. Organizers say they have been collecting uniforms for months and now have quite the selection for parents and students to chose from. “This is an opportunity for families to help one another, to save money while money is tight,” said Jenni Thorn with RIFA. “Uniforms are expensive. Kids grow out of them. So this is just an opportunity to help families save a little bit of money this year.” The Uniform Exchange is open Friday and Saturday and July 21 and 22 at North Parkway Elementary School.
