Police Arrest Man for Auto Burglary After Chase

A Martin is behind bars after officers said he tried to steal about $7 in change from a car console. Kinyko Booker, 20, is charged with auto burglary, theft of property and evading arrest. Witnesses told Martin police they spotted him getting into a neighbor’s car in the 100 block of Royal Street early Saturday morning. Booker is accused of leading police on a short foot chase before he was found hiding in a patch of tomato plants behind his house.
