Herron Grove Rd. Bridge Open

After a very, very long wait and almost 14 months of detours, the Herron Grove Road bridge in south Jackson is open again. This weekend was the first weekend the bridge was open to traffic since May of last year. The bridge on Herron Grove, which connects Chester Levee Road to South Highland Avenue washed away in the historic May 2010 floods. Repeated delays stalled the almost $500,000 project well past other bridge repairs.
