FedEx Truck Hit by Wind Turbine

An unexpected encounter along Interstate 40 gave way to more than just some tense moments for drivers. Witnesses said a FedEx trailer was sliced open by a second semi carrying a wind turbine. According to the THP, both semis were headed east when the semi carrying the wind turbine began to veer out as it was getting off of the interstate at Exit 79, gutting the FedEx trailer, spilling its contents across the road. The exit was closed, causing traffic to back up for several miles as crews worked to clear the roadway.
