Illinois Sex Offender Arrested in Dyersburg
A wanted sex offender from Illinois has been arrested in Dyersburg. The U.S. Marshal Service said it found Willie Joe Strayhorn early Thursday hiding in the closet of a home on Central Street. Marshals said Strayhorn was also wanted by Dyersbrug police for a May 15 attack on a 76-year-old man. Officials in Illinois issued a warrant for Strayhorn in November of last year for failing to let authorities know where he was living. He was previously convicted of sexual battery of a 13-year-old child.
