Surveillance Video from Cigarettes Cheaper Robbery Released

Jackson police are releasing pictures of a car they believe was used by the man who robbed a north Jackson tobacco store, Wednesday night. The dark colored sedan (4-doors), likely a newer model Buick, was captured by surveillance cameras outside Cigarettes Cheaper around 6:45 p.m., Wednesday. Officers say it was parked behind the business on North Highland Ave. They believe a driver waited on the robber to run out the back door before taking off. The Cigarettes Cheaper clerk told investigators the man, who was armed with a handgun, came into the store and demanded money. The clerk complied and was not hurt. The suspect is a black man. He is around 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs about 210 pounds. He was wearing a hoodie with a white body and multi-colored hood, black shorts with white stripes down each leg, black gloves and black and white tennis shoes. He was also wearing a mask covering his face from the nose down.
