Emergency Drill Scheduled for Thursday

If you drive by a midtown Jackson park, Thursday and see a swarm of emergency responders and vehicles, do not be alarmed. The scenario for the Mock Emergency Drill at Conger Park near the Medical Center features a shoot-out complete with students posing as victims. West Tennessee Healthcare and Jackson State Community College will conduct the drill to check on their readiness for this type of event. The drill will last an hour while Jackson State students will represent those injured during the event. Jackson Police, Air Evac and the Medical Center will also be involved.
