Conviction in 2010 Lincoln Courts Shooting

A 19-year-old Jackson man has been found guilty of shooting a man in the backside in Lincoln Courts, last December. Tuesday, a Madison County grand jury found Carl Randle guilty of attempted voluntary manslaughter and aggravated assault. He was fined $15,000 and will be sentenced August 31. On December 9 of last year, investigators said Randle and the victim got into an argument, eventually ending with a confrontation in a parking lot at Lincoln Courts. Officers said Randle first pushed the victim down then shot him one in the buttocks. He has since recovered from the injury.
