Union Expects Enrollment to Top 5,000

A north Jackson university said it has set an all-time enrollment record. Union University officials said enrollment at the Southern Baptist affiliated school is a little more than 5,000. That number grew from 2,000 students 15 years ago. Union leaders said students are influenced by the rigorous academics, values and commitments from the university. Union is recognized by U.S. News and World Report magazine as one of the top-tier universities in the south and one of the Top 70 Up and Coming universities in the nation.
