Authorities Search for Man Posing as Officer
Henry County deputies are looking for a man who they said has been masquerading as an officer of the law. Investigators said, Tuesday morning a man, who was in a vehicle that resembled a police cruiser, stopped a woman along Highway 54 in Henry County. She told investigators that the man asked for her license and registration so he could run a check on her information. Further investigations showed neither the woman’s license or tag were ever checked. Deputies said the man was driving an older white Ford, possibly a Crown Victoria model. The car also had tinted windows, with a spot light in the driver’s side door. Investigators said the only visible blue light was seen in the middle of the car’s dashboard. The man is described as a white men, in his mid-30s, with a closely shaved head, wearing khaki pants and a black shirt. Deputies told ABC 7 Eyewitness News the man had no ID, however, he did have a gun belt.
