K-Nine Burglar Leaves Emaciated Dog

Jackson police believe the same man who robbed a kennel, Wednesday, could also be guilty of animal cruelty. A black man between 25 and 30-years-old, described as tall and slender and driving a older model, burgundy Pontiac Grand Prix is suspected of taking cash and checks from the K-Nine Kennel on Whitehall Street. He is also believed to have left behind an extremely emaciated dog. The dog is so frail, he could not even walk or move on his own. Investigators believe the suspect was actually at the kennel to drop off the dog, which was found by the dumpster, and the burglary was a “crime of opportunity.” The dog is now in the care of the Humane Society.
