Cayce McDaniel’s Friends & Family Hold Candelight Vigil

Tuesday evening, friends and family of Cayce Lynn McDaniel marked a somber 15th anniversary since she went missing. Dozens of people gathered inside Double Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church, near Gibson, for the 7 p.m. vigil. When McDaniel disappeared in 1996, she was only 14-years-old. She would be 29-years-old today. Since August 16, 1996, there has never been a reported sighting of Cayce nor has she been heard from. However the message from those who love her remains evident. “Cayce, we love you and miss you and just want you home,” said Randy McDaniel, Cayce’s brother. “All you family wants you home.” Cayce’s best friend from childhood has organized a candlelight vigil on August 16, every year since she disappeared.
