Union Students Return to Campus
Friday, marked the first day on campus for Freshmen enrolled in the Fall semester at Union University. The 500 new students gathered for an address by President David Dockery, but they spent their morning moving into their dorm rooms. They will spend the weekend getting acquainted with the classmates and the campus before the Fall semester begins on Tuesday. “(It’s) pure excitement, no nervousness, really just pure excitement, that’s all,” said Terrence Murphy, a Union Freshman. “(I’m) excited. I still got a little nervousness just, I guess stepping out into something new,” said Steve Ballard a Union Freshman. Last year Union’s enrollment topped 5,100 students, which was a school record. This year’s enrollment numbers have not been released
