Dozens of people filled the Henderson County Courthouse on Thursday seeking justice in the scam that cost them all together more than $5 million. Back in 2009 Virginia Volner was convicted of conspiracy charges along with a then Union Planters bank worker. Victims said they still have not seen the money they lost in the scheme and they are suing the bank in hopes of reaching a settlement agreement. Volner pleaded guilty to federal charges and is currently serving a five year sentence in Prison, but victims do not believe justice has fully been served . “I’m sorry, but I’m not gonna go away. I’m not going to turn my back on my friends, my family, my neighbors, people that lost their life savings over this,” said victim Terry Parish, who also filed the suit. The testimony wrapped up Thursday afternoon. The chancellor is currently taking the evidence under advisement and will deliver his ruling at a later date.
