Lakendrick Deberry Surrenders to Police

The Brownsville man suspected in Wednesday night’s deadly shooting has surrendered to police. Brownsville police said Lakendrick Deberry turned himself in to Lauderdale County authorities. Deberry faces a first degree murder charge in the shooting death of Cedric Person and an attempted first degree murder charge in the shooting of Person’s 16-year-old son, Marquice. The two were gunned down not far from their home on Lark Street. Investigators have not said what might have led to the shooting.
