A scary scene in west Jackson, Wednesday morning ends with numerous charges for a Jackson man and his mental sanity under scrutiny. Investigators said Anthony Echols, 26, was arrested after officers said he cut his own throat and slashed his chest after attacking the mother of his 11-month-old daughter. It happened on Camelot Cove around 9, Wednesday morning. Echols is accused of going to the woman’s house and threatening her with the knife as well as punching her in the face. He also faces charges for violently attacking her on July 13 and August 25. Echols is currently at Western Mental Health institute in Bolivar.
