Police Arrest Wanted Man, Find another Suspected Meth Lab

A traffic stop earlier this month of a man wanted on outstanding drug warrants leads to his arrest, Tuesday and additional drug charges involving meth. The Jackson Police Street Crimes Unit made a traffic stop on August 7 and Johnathan Lee Samples was a passenger in the car. Samples grabbed a duffel bag containing a meth lab and evaded arrest. Tuesday, officers found and arrested Samples at a trailer in north Jackson. While there, they found another suspected meth lab and items used to make the illegal drug, and that he was living in a vacant unit and was allegedly stealing electricity from an adjacent residence. Officers also found additional meth production items as another address in the trailer park, but did not find a suspect.
