Hill Makes First Court Appearance

Terry Hill, the teacher and coach who had many asking questions about the Jackson-Madison County School District’s drug testing policy, appeared for the first time in court, Thursday morning. The 49-year-old is charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on school property. Hill was arrested by narcotics officers after a drug dog alerted them to Hill’s officer and vehicle. Officers said he also admitted that marijuana found on campus was his before agreeing to take a drug test. Those results have not been released. Hill is free on $4,000 bond and will return to court for a preliminary hearing October 6.
