The muffler shop whose owner was fatally stabbed nearly three months ago is back in business. Charlie Reagan’s Supreme Muffler and Brakes shop closed back in June because police said he was fatally stabbed during a robbery by then 17-year-old Victor Thompson. Now, almost three months later, Charlie’s nephew, Joey Reagan is taking over the business. “We’re trying to make something good come out of something bad, but we’re hoping that the customers will take on to me as well as they did Charlie,” Reagan said. Reagan said everyone loved Charlie. He was a die-hard Milan High Bulldogs fan, and went to all of the games. “Charlie was a well-liked man here in the community,” Reagan said. “I’m not trying to take his spot, I just want to keep the business going for the family.” So far business is going well. The shop just re-opened on Monday, and Reagan is getting more and more customers each day. “[Charlie’s] got several customers that just come in and hang out with him,” Reagan said. “So far those guys are coming in and they’re coming out and hanging out with me too and I love it.” Reagan said the business should have the same prices and services, just the name and phone number will change. “We’re not going to be doing tires,” Reagan said. “We’re going to be doing exhaust, brakes, oil changes and shocks and struts and just small mechanical stuff.”
