Community Comes Together To Search For Holly Bobo
The community of Darden came together Saturday to celebrate the third annual Darden Day Festival. This year’s festival was a little different as residents made a special dedication to the nursing student who was snatched from their community five months ago. Clint Bobo is said to be the last person to see Holly Bobo when she was abducted from her Darden home in April. But Saturday’s festival shows that hope still lives on in this supportive community. “They’re not giving up ever,” Clint Bobo said. “They’re in it for the long haul with us.” The festival included a tribute to Holly, as everyone released a balloon with Holly’s picture and information attached. “Just hoping that someone will see the balloon and call in that tip that we need to get Holly back home,” Dana Bobo said. Ray Reeves had the idea to start the Darden Day Festival three years ago, but said he never imagined then that this community would have a reason such as this to come together. “This has been a continuing effort and until we find her or bring her home or find out what happened then we’re gonna continue the effort that’s involved,” Reeves said. “We are a community that does not give up.”
