Children’s Garden Dedicated at Liberty Garden

Liberty Garden, a park in north Jackson created in memorial to the victims of 9/11, will play host to ceremonies in honor of the 10 year anniversary of the terror attacks on Sunday. The City of Jackson as well as members of the Daughters of the American Revolution will officially dedicate a children’s park that has been added in honor of the anniversary. As part of the Sunday ceremony, children are invited to dress up as historical characters and take part in a Children’s Patriot Day Parade starting at 2:30 p.m. It will be held right before a remembrance ceremony scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. If you plan to attend the ceremony, you are asked to bring your own lawn chair.
