The sound of music was in the air in Jackson on Saturday, the sound of bluegrass music. Musicians and music fans packed the Casey Jones Village for the Old Time Music, Art and Quilt Festival. The warmer temperatures did not keep dozens of West Tennesseans from enjoying the day of festivities. “We are really excited about how many people have come out to this event,” said Juanita Shaw, organizer of the event. “For 15-years, we have been having the music festival but now we have added a quilt show and an art festival.” Shaw says she got the idea of adding the quilts and art after visiting a similar festival in Kentucky.
