Flatiron Grille Shut Down, Chained Up
A favorite Jackson restaurant was chained shut, Monday by the state. Lunchtime diners where shocked to find the doors to the Flatiron Grille bolted shut. According to the note taped to the front door, the business had been seized by the state for nonpayment of state taxes. The levy was issued by the Department of Revenue, Tax Enforcement Division. ABC 7 Eyewitness News spoke with Flatiron owner Frank Arcuri by phone, Monday afternoon. “It has been a difficult time for everyone in business. We are working through our problems and hope to reopen within the next 48 hours,” said Arcuri.
