Chamber Celebrates Forward Jackson Campaign
Jackson Area Chamber members celebrated their goal of reaching $3.8 million, designed to sustain economic development in the area. The money was raised in part with the “Forward Jackson Campaign,” where money was raised through verbal and written pledges over a span of a year and a half. Members told ABC 7 Eyewitness News, strategic planning sessions with community leaders gave way to the campaign and they tell us the money raised will push Jackson forward in several ways. “Things like education and wellness, as well as a branding campaign to do a new image and logo for the community,” said Kathy Watts of the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce. Organizers said the money raised will be distributed to various areas in the community throughout the next five years.
