TN Kidnap Suspect Found Dead In Mississippi
A kidnapping that reportedly began at a Kangaroo gas station in Nashville, Tenn., ended in Monroe County, Miss., when a 57-year-old man was found dead at a gasoline station in Hamilton.
Aberdeen Police Chief Henry Randall says authorities had been looking for 57-year-old Stephen Cronk of Gallatin, Tenn., after a woman claimed she was able to shoot her way out of situation that ended Wednesday night at a local motel.
Randall says Monroe County deputies found Cronk dead in his Nissan Frontier around 6 a.m. Friday in the south parking lot of Crossroads Shell in nearby Hamilton.
Randall says he’s uncertain if the gunshot killed Cronk and an autopsy has been ordered.
