Man Sentenced on Rape Charges

A Selmer man has been sentenced to 44-years in prison for the rape of a young family member over a span of two years. A McNairy County jury found Jeremy Edick, 35, guilty of felony rape of a child, aggravated sexual battery and exploitation of a minor by electronic means. Officers with the Selmer Police Department said their investigation revealed Edick raped the child from the age of eight and 10 and forced the victim to watch pornography.
